Oh the Places You’ll Go

If there is a beer pilgrimage to make, where would that be?

Past, present or future. A significant place you’ve been, somewhere you find yourself today, or a journey you plan to make in your lifetime.

If you don’t think such a place exists, why is that?

pil·grim·age (p l gr -m j)

  1. There are a few I’d like to take on, the Trappist tour I’ve been threatening for two years.
Also like many failed British rock stars I’d like to take on the USA. But where to start I have no idea. It needs to have an element of normal tourist Florida-esqué hot spots to keep the wife happy and hopefully take in a few different places? Answers on a postcard….

  2. Made the pilgrimage to Munich and Bamberg for the SO’s birthday trip this year (currently writing it up for the blog!) but my personal wish would be to go to Rehoboth, to Dogfish Head’s brewpub. I’d be in teary-eyed heaven with all that DFH on draught! It looks in the middle of nowhere though (in terms of easy access after a flight across the Atlantic) so I doubt I’ll ever get to go …
… Borefts festival was going to be my next-best-thing, but plans to visit for the first time this year had to be unexpectedly cancelled, so I am without an achievable ‘beer trip goal’ at the minute!

    • I look forward to reading all about it, see Bailey’s comment above.
Dogfish Head’s brewpub does look a great place, somewhere I’d like to get to one day…probably in retirement when I hire a Mustang and drive the West Coast 🙂

Borefts is a possibility for me next year, but I’m more likely to get to Bruge for a weekend with my wife….which is just fine by me 😀
